Daria Gruberska-Pająk, PhD Student

I am a PhD student at the Doctoral School in the Social Sciences at Jagiellonian University. I hold a master’s degree in psychology from SWPS University in Wrocław, where I also teach undergraduate courses. I am currently a scholarship holder in a research project led by Prof. Magdalena Śmieja.

My doctoral research focuses on personal values and expectations toward romantic partners. More broadly, I am interested in how personal values are reflected in expectations toward a romantic partner and whether intimate relationships serve as a context in which these values can be expressed and fulfilled. In my work, I investigate the mechanisms linking personal values, partner expectations, and relationship satisfaction.

In my free time, I enjoy reading novels, traveling on a budget, and spending time with my cat.
